Interim Project Reports and Interviews

Interim project reports are required from all final year year project students. Interim Reports should be made into PDFs (e.g. with the departmental installed PDF printer). The PDFs must be no larger than 10MB, and posted to the Interim Report submission web page.

Note that most supervisors will require a paper copy of the Interim Report, usually submitted to their level 6 pigeonhole, at approximately the same time as or earlier than the electronic submission. Many staff do not use the electronic copy so will find it inconvenient unless they also get a paper copy, so although paper submission is not a formal requirement it is strongly recommended.

Purpose

The purpose of the report and interview is to give you an early deliverable of project work, so that you can recieve feedback on how well the project is progressing. The content of the Interim Report is all material that is needed in the project, either for planning, or as background chapters of the Final Report, so writing an Interim Report will not impede project progress.a chance to

Lateness

Late reports will be penalised at the standard rate unless delayed by illness or some other allowed reason.
