Welcome to CYCSEE

A project led by a team of second year Electrical and Electronic Engineering students at Imperial College London.

Making cycling safer

With an increase in the number of road accidents and roads becoming more congested, cyclist safety has become a real issue for governments and local councils. Every year there are hundreds of cyclist deaths and serious injuries on city roads which could be easily avoided if the right precautions are taken. With the 2012 Olympic Games coming to London, the Mayor and numerous cyclist campaign groups are looking for new systems to provide the safety and security necessary to complete their vision of a truly 'Green London'. To this end we have proposed a product which aims to create a safer cycling environment - Cycsee.

Benefits of CYCSEE

  • Increased cyclist safety
  • Fewer cyclist accidents
  • Saves lives
  • Reduction in accident costs
  • Saves tax-payer money
  • Low product cost
  • Less traffic congestion
  • Reducion in Pollution
  • Improved health standards

Proposed Implementation

Cycsee is a concept that utilises RFID technology to alert drivers of the proximity of nearby cyclists.

The Cycsee solution consists of two core products:

2. C-tag
