What is C-mos?

C-mos s an autonomous mine-detecting robot whose purpose is to assist in mine clearance operations. Such a product should not only reduce the risks which involved individuals must undertake, but will also need to greatly improve the speed and efficiency of mine clearance works. Such valuable contributions could bring innumerable benefits to the local economies of afflicted areas.

Our robot is designed to detect landmines which contain metal parts. It can be deployed into an unknown section of any mine field and autonomously navigate itself around the terrain and gather data using its metal detector sensors. It needs to be self-powered as long as there is a sufficient amount of sunlight. The robot would move in a scanning-like pattern and gather data which should be used to generate maps indicating the observed metal content at every point passed. The weight, of the device should be kept below the threshold of detonation for the majority of mines to minimise the chance of damage
