Throughput Test Application

This application measures the RF bandwith of MeshBean modules. To use the Throughput Test application, burn two devices with the same application image and configure them with DIP swithches (see the table below) as coordinator and router, correspondingly.

After burning, power up both the nodes, connect the coordinator node to a PC and start terminal software (see connection settings). The router node continually sends packets of data over the air. The coordinator keeps measuring the connection bandwidth on application level and sending its value to PC via UART once per second.

The state of the nodes (searching for network, being joined to network, sending data and receiving data) is indicated by the onboard LEDs in the following manner:

• when a node is searching for the network, green LED is blinking;
• green LED is ON when the node joins the network successfully;
• yellow LED is flashing when the node is sending data (for router) or receiving data (for coordinator);
• red LED is used only on coordinator and is flashing when sending measured value to UART.
